Due to the lack of compatibility, many apps app just keep crashing during launching on the new MacOS Mojave or even High Sierra with a common error like: “… can not be opened by a problem”. How to fix?
That disable the System Integrity Protection (SIP) would fix the related issues.
Open Terminal ( Launchpad > Other > Terminal).
- Enter the following command line to install command line tools
- Enter the following with the name of the affected app:
sudo codesign --force --deep --sign - /Applications/app-name.app
The app-name really make complicated situations. Here is the rule:
If the name contains space between words, you must replace the space by "\ "
For example, the below are some particular command lines:
To fix if Cleanmymac X crashes:
sudo codesign --force --deep --sign - /Applications/CleanMyMac\ X.app
To fix if Waltr 2 crashes
sudo codesign --force --deep --sign - /Applications/Waltr\ 2.app
To fix if Parallel Desktop crashes
sudo codesign --force --deep --sign - /Applications/Parallels\ Desktop.app
You might be asked for administrator password to excecute the above command lines.
